Sheikh Saoud meets Sasol Country chief Louw

His Excellency Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, Secretary General of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), met Marjo Louw, Sasol Country president and his accompanying delegation at the QOC headquarters on Wednesday.The QOC Secretary General greeted the visiting delegation and discussed ways of enhancing co-operation between the QOC and the company in the field of sports.The delegation applauded Qatar’s comprehensive development in sports infrastructure and its ambitious strategy for development in all sport at both regional and international levels.It is worth mentioning that Sasol in co-operation with the Qatar Paralympic Committee (QPC) and  the South African Paralympic Wheelchair Basketball team had organised the ‘Definitely Able’ Campaign, a joint initiative to promote awareness that “Being Disabled means Definitely Able’, in June 2012.The “Definitely Able” campaign was held under supervision of the QOC where the Qatar Paralympic Athletes and the South African Paralympic Wheelchair Basketball team visited Shafalla Center, Al – Noor Institute for the Blind and local schools in the State of Qatar to raise awareness throughout the community that being disabled does not have to hinder ones dreamsThe meeting was attended by Dr. Hassan al-Ansari, the QPC Secretary General, Amir al-Mullah, the QPC Assistant Secretary General and Faisal Saleh al-Mansouri, Director of Public Relations and Marketing Department.
