The technical side of production at the North Field is “important” to Qatar, HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada said yesterday. “We have to take care of the reservoir management. A lot of valuable information can be obtained only after producing and seeing physically the performance of the field. This is what we are looking at. This is a depletable resource and one should look carefully how to produce as well as maintain the longevity of the field to the extent possible,” al-Sada said after the 13th GECF Ministerial Meeting. Qatar, he said, is committed to delivering gas to its customers in a viable manner. “We always act responsibly,” al-Sada said.
