By Mizan RahmanDhakaPrime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday reshuffled the cabinet swapping portfolios of some ministers and distributing ministries among the newly inducted ministers.Shahara Khatun was removed from the home (interior) ministry and given the responsibility of posts and telecommunications ministry. Newly appointed minister Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir replaced Shahara.Rajiuddin Ahmed Razu was made labour minister, while Mosharraf Hossain will now look after the expatriates welfare and overseas employment ministry.Abul Kalam Azad’s wider responsibilities got the axe as information ministry went to new minister Hasanul Haque Inu. Azad is now the minister for cultural affairs.Communications Minister Obaidul Quader was relieved of his additional charge of railways ministry as it went to new minister Mujibul Haque.Abdur Razzak will take care of the food ministry only as new minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali was entrusted with the responsibility of relief and disaster management ministry.Mostofa Faruq Mohammad was made Information and communication technology (ICT) minister, which was earlier taken care of by Yeafesh Osman after the resignation of Syed Abul Hossain.New state minister Omar Faruk Chowdhury was made the deputy of Industries Minister Dilip Barua while Abdul Hye junior minister for Fisheries.
