Nepalese devotees pull ropes attached to the wooden chariot during a week-long Bisket Jatra, a historic festival to celebrate New Year’s Day in Bhaktapur, 12km east of Kathmandu yesterday. The week-long traditional Bisket Jatra festival with cultural and historical significance is celebrated every year on the occasion of Nepali New Year which falls on April 13, 2012
