Amir issues Amiri decree appointing Board of Trustees of Tamim Bin Hamad University for Military Science and Technology
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, issued Amiri Decree No. 37 of 2026 today, appointing the Board of Trustees of Tamim Bin Hamad University for Military Science and Technology.
The decree stipulates that the Board of Trustees of Tamim Bin Hamad University for Military Science and Technology shall be chaired by the Commander-in-Chief of the Qatari Armed Forces, with the Minister of State for Defence Affairs as Vice-Chairman, and the following members:
1. Minister of Interior.2. Minister of Education and Higher Education.3. Minister of Transport.4. Head of the State Security Service.5. Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.6. Head of the National Cybersecurity Agency.7. President of Qatar University.8. Dr Mariam Ali Sultan Al-Maadeed.9. Sheikha Dr Dina bint Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani.
The decree also stipulates that the Chairman of the Board may add other competent and experienced members to its membership.
It further stipulates that the decree shall come into effect from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette.
