DAAM signs funding agreement with Qatar Foundation to support Al Ghorrah for Literature and Arts 2027
The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) has signed a funding agreement with Qatar Foundation to support Al Ghorrah for Literature and Arts 2027. Under the agreement, the Fund will provide a financial contribution toward the organization of the event, helping to create a platform for cultural engagement and exchange and the discovery of artistic talent.
On this occasion, DAAM Director of Programs Hassan Yousef Al Obaidli said, "We are pleased to announce our support for Al Ghorrah for Literature and Arts for the second consecutive time, in recognition of the valuable contribution it makes to Qatar’s cultural landscape. This support reflects the Fund’s approach to supporting events that bring together heritage and creativity, showcase the literary and artistic achievements of Arab and Islamic civilizations, and strengthen their place among future generations.”
For its part, Qatar Foundation expressed its pride in partnering with the DAAM, looking forward to continuing their collaboration in a way that enriches the cultural landscape and expands opportunities for creativity, dialogue, and knowledge exchange.
Al Ghorrah for Literature and Arts is a cultural and artistic platform that celebrates the heritage of Arab and Islamic civilizations and their literary and artistic contributions. It presents a diverse program encompassing poetry, music, theater, and the arts. The event also provides a space for cultural engagement and exchange and showcases emerging talents and established creators, strengthening the presence of Arab and Islamic culture and promoting the values of dialogue and communication among different communities.
This agreement forms part of the role played by DAAM and the public shareholding companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange in supporting cultural initiatives and sustainable development, in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.
