Qatar Charity (QC) announced that it had implemented a range of high-quality humanitarian and development projects and interventions worth approximately QR809mn between January and the end of July 2026. Backed by the support of donors in Qatar, the organisation's services reached more than 10mn people across 44 countries worldwide.
According to a report issued by Qatar Charity, total humanitarian and relief interventions exceeded QR236mn, covering 31 countries and benefiting approximately 5.8mn people. Particular focus was placed on responding to major humanitarian crises in Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, Somalia, and Syria, as well as supporting refugees and displaced communities and addressing overlooked humanitarian crises, such as the Rohingya refugee crisis.
In this context, Qatar Charity launched a specialized Information and crisis management centre to strengthen early-warning mechanisms and enhance the speed and effectiveness of decision-making.
In the area of social welfare, the number of people sponsored through Qatar Charity's "Rofaqa" initiative exceeded 225,000, including orphans, vulnerable families, students, and persons with disabilities. The initiative provides comprehensive support covering livelihoods, education, and personal and spiritual development.
Qatar Charity has also established a dedicated international category for Rofaqa beneficiaries within the Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Holy Qur'an Competition.
