Qatar and Spain have signed a Letter of Intent on security co-operation for the FIFA World Cup 2030, following a meeting between HE Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska Gomez during the former's visit to Spain.
The agreement covers co-operation between the two countries' interior ministries on security coverage for the tournament.
During the meeting, Sheikh Khalifa and the minister discussed co-operation between the two countries and ways to support and develop it, particularly in security, in addition to a number of topics of mutual interest.
