The Lusail-Al Wakrah match in the fourth round of the Doha Bank Stars League 2026-27 season, held at the iconic Lusail Stadium, witnessed a lively and festive atmosphere ahead of kick-off with the launch of Lusail Club’s Fan Zone experience.
The initiative is part of Lusail Club’s drive to turn matchday into a complete experience.
The Fan Zone provided an interactive entertainment area featuring a wide range of activities and experiences designed to cater to different age groups, including children, young people and families.
The initiative was also intended to strengthen the connection between supporters and the stands, transforming matchday into a broader sporting and community occasion.
It forms part of Lusail Club’s efforts to promote a culture of attending matches and introduce new and innovative experiences that strengthen the bond between the club and its supporters and to make attending a match an experience that goes beyond the 90 minutes of action on the pitch.
"We are delighted at Lusail Club to launch a new experience during the league,” said Lusail Club assistant public relations director Yousef Nasser al-Hajaji. "Our aim is for matchday to be more than just 90 minutes at the stadium. That is why we introduced this experience, which caters to all age groups – parents, children, young people and families.”
"The atmosphere at Lusail Stadium is truly wonderful, and the venue and preparations are heartening,” said Fatma al-Obaidli, the assistant director of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s Department of School and Student Affairs. "The participation of our students from primary, preparatory and secondary schools, along with their families at the stadium, as well as their involvement in sports and recreational activities helps bring fathers and their children closer together."
