PM of Libya's Government of National Unity Meets Minister of State at Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity of the State of Libya Abdul Hamid Mohammed Dbeibeh met yesterday in Tripoli with HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh al-Khulaifi.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed co-operation relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them, as well as developments in the regional situation and a number of issues of mutual interest.

Dr al-Khulaifi affirmed the State of Qatar's support for Libya's unity and stability, and its keenness to support the political process and peaceful solutions that respond to the aspirations of the Libyan people and preserve Libya's sovereignty.

HE Dr al-Khulaifi also highlighted the importance of continuing dialogue and supporting mediation and national reconciliation efforts, in a manner that contributes to strengthening consensus among Libyans and creating conditions conducive to stability, affirming the State of Qatar's continued engagement with various Libyan parties and leaders in support of UN efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive and sustainable political settlement.
