Hajj medical fitness certificate issuance made possible in all PHCC health centers for free
Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) announced that prospective pilgrims intending to perform Hajj (pilgrimage) in 1448 AH (2026-2027) can now obtain their Medical Fitness Certificates in any of PHCC's Health Centers.
In a statement, PHCC underscored that this will be done in accordance with the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs' conditions and regulations and in line with the State of Qatar's approved health protocols and procedures.
The new service will give prospective pilgrims the opportunity to complete medical requirements and ensure that they are in good health before traveling, helping them perform the Hajj rituals safely and securely.
One can apply for the Medical Fitness Certificate at all PHCC Family Medicine Centers any day of the week and without the need for a prior appointment, PHCC said.
It added that the service is free of charge to both Qatari citizens and residents at all PHCC Health Centers. However, a nominal fee will be charged to residents whose Residency Permit or health cards have expired.
The Medical Fitness Certificate is issued in both paper and electronic forms.
The new service comes as part of PHCC's efforts to provide comprehensive healthcare services and facilitate access to necessary medical care, thereby supporting health preparations for the Hajj season.
PHCC emphasized the importance of completing the required medical procedures in a timely manner. (QNA)
