QIB, Visa launch summer rewards campaign for new Marriott Bonvoy credit cardholders
Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has launched a new summer rewards campaign, in collaboration with Visa, offering customers applying for a new QIB Marriott Bonvoy Visa credit card the opportunity to earn up to 150,000 Marriott Bonvoy bonus points, redeemable for up to three complimentary nights at participating hotels and resorts worldwide.
Running until October 24, 2026, the campaign is available to customers who obtain a new QIB Marriott Bonvoy Visa credit card during the promotional period.
The offer is designed to reward new cardholders through two components: a "Campaign Bonus”, awarded upon completing the first POS (point of sale) or online transaction within 30 days of card issuance, and a "Welcome Bonus”, awarded upon meeting the required spending criteria within the first 90 days of card issuance.
The campaign applies across all three QIB Marriott Bonvoy Visa credit card tiers.
Customers applying for the Infinite credit card can earn up to 150,000 bonus points upon meeting the offer criteria.
Those opting for the Signature credit card can earn up to 80,000 bonus points, while customers applying for the Platinum credit card can earn up to 40,000 bonus points.
"We are pleased to collaborate with Marriott Bonvoy and Visa on this rewarding summer campaign, which reflects our continued commitment to delivering relevant, value-driven banking solutions that align with our customers’ evolving lifestyle and travel aspirations,” said QIB general manager (Personal Banking Group) D Anand. "Through our co-branded cards, customers can enjoy exceptional rewards and memorable experiences through their everyday spending.”
Luca Bianconi, vice-president and country manager for Visa in Qatar, stated: "We are delighted to collaborate with QIB and Marriott Bonvoy on this campaign, which combines rewarding travel benefits with secure and seamless payment experiences.”
"It demonstrates how everyday spending can unlock meaningful lifestyle rewards for cardholders in Qatar,” he said.
To enable customers to reach the required spending thresholds faster, both primary and supplementary card POS and online transactions will be counted toward eligible spend, provided such transactions are billed and reflected on the cardholder’s statement.
Cash withdrawals and bill payments through the QIB Mobile App are excluded from eligible spend calculations.
Eligible bonus points will be credited to the cardholder’s Marriott Bonvoy member account with the next monthly statement after meeting the applicable requirements, with the final crediting date scheduled for November 20, 2026.
Customers can discover the key features of the QIB Marriott Bonvoy Visa credit cards by visiting www.qib.com.qa/en-MarriottBonvoy, or the QIB Mobile App, where they can apply for the card directly.
