Doha Bank wins 2 accolades at Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026
Doha Bank continues to strengthen its position in retail banking and housing finance in Qatar with its customer-focused approach earning the bank two prestigious titles at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026.
Through its focus on making everyday banking simpler and more accessible, Doha Bank secured the ‘Best Retail Bank’ award. Over the past year, the bank redesigned key customer journeys, strengthened its digital channels, and simplified its product offering, with 90% of transactions now handled digitally or through self-service kiosk with QR12.5bn in e-commerce volume processed through its merchant network. The result is a retail experience built around speed, reliability, and ease of use.
Building on last year's win in the same category, Doha Bank earned the ‘Best Bank for Mortgages/Home Loans’ award in the Middle East. The bank exponentially expanded its housing loan portfolio, with a 40% year-on-year increase, driven by a campaign that combined competitive pricing, flexible terms, and unique incentives including complimentary insurance, cashback options, and fee refunds.
Doha Bank also deepened its commitment to green financing through GSAS-certified property solutions developed in collaboration with the Gulf Organisation for Research & Development (Gord), in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
Doha Bank Group CEO Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Fahad bin Faisal al-Thani said, "These awards reflect our commitment to putting the customer at the center of everything we do. From simplifying everyday banking to helping families across Qatar own their homes, we continue to invest in solutions that are practical and accessible.
"We are proud to be recognised as the ‘Best Retail Bank’ in Qatar and the ‘Best Bank for Mortgages’ in the Middle East, and we will continue working to set new standards in both areas.”
The achievements reinforce Doha Bank’s position as a leading financial institution in Qatar, committed to delivering a modern, customer-focused banking experience across its retail and housing finance businesses.
