Qatar Museums unveils Erwin Wurm's iconic 'Pink Convertible Big' at Place Vendome

Qatar Museums (QM) unveiled Pink Convertible Big, a bold installation by internationally acclaimed Austrian artist Erwin Wurm, at Place Vendome. The sculpture gleams in vibrant pink lacquer, immediately drawing attention and inviting viewers to engage with its striking and thought-provoking presence.

Part of Wurm's renowned Fat Car series, Pink Convertible Big transforms a familiar symbol of aspiration and mobility into a striking sculptural work. The vehicle appears inflated and distorted to absurd proportions, creating a playful yet critical commentary on society's obsessions. Almost bloated, it seems as if the car has consumed the excesses of modern life itself.
