The region’s leading sports broadcaster, beIN SPORTS, recorded a cumulative viewership of 6.2bn across the 39-day FIFA World Cup 2026 tournament, according to independent audience measurement by Ipsos.The network said in a press statement that fans across the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) set a new record as 245.4mn viewers made Spain’s win over Argentina the most-watched broadcast in beIN SPORTS history.
beIN’s digital platforms mirrored the on-air success, drawing 7.77bn video views and 16.96bn impressions across the tournament, with 12.2mn new followers joining beIN SPORTS’s social channels.The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be remembered as the tournament that rewrote the record books – and not only on the pitch.
