His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a telephone call Monday from Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney during which he expressed his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy on the demise of the late His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani.
HH the Amir expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the prime minister for his condolences.
The call dealt with bilateral co-operation and the means to enhance them in different fields, in addition to exchanging views over the latest regional and international developments, particularly developments in the region.
HH the Amir congratulated the prime minister on Canada's successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup 2026 in partnership with the United States and Mexico , wishing them continued success.
