ICAI Doha Chapter hosts session on cross-border wealth and RWA tokenisationThe Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Doha Chapter recently hosted a professional development session on ‘Future-Proofing Capital: Cross-Border Wealth & RWA Tokenisation’.The session was attended by some 100 members, reflecting the growing interest among professionals in emerging trends shaping global finance, investment and wealth management.During the event, ICAI Doha Chapter chairperson Arun Somanath discussed the upcoming programmes and the chapter’s continued focus on future-oriented learning and professional excellence.He announced the theme of the 12th ICAI Doha Chapter Annual Conference, slated for October 22-23 at the Marriott Marquis City Center Doha Hotel. He also encouraged members to participate in the upcoming World Forum of Accountants (WOFA) to be hosted by ICAI in December.Amit Kumar Kedia, director at Kedia Corporate Advisors, delivered the first session titled “The Global NRI & Professional Wealth Blueprint,” which focused on emerging cross-border financial opportunities for Qatar-based NRIs and professionals.His presentation highlighted the growing financial and economic relationship between Qatar and India. It explored the role of GIFT IFSC as an international financial centre, offering opportunities in cross-border banking, investments, insurance, capital markets, fund management and wealth management.Narayanan Ganapathy, co-founder and director, Bambucorn, delivered the second session on ‘RWA (Real World Assets) Tokenisation’, which offered an engaging finance-first perspective on tokenisation.
