Sheikh Khalifa discusses trade co-operation with Finnish delegation
Qatar Chamber chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani held a meeting with a delegation from Finland Monday.
Ambassador Juha Mustonen accompanied the delegation comprised of Axel Hagelstam, deputy director general for International Relations and Analysis in National Emergency Supply Agency, and Petteri Korvala, secretary general of the Security Committee, as well as with representatives of Finnish companies.
Qatar Chamber board of director Ibtihaj al-Ahmadani, who is also head of the chamber’s Health Committee, attended the meeting.
In a statement, the chamber stated that the visit aims to strengthen economic and trade co-operation between both countries across a wide range of sectors, including civil industries, private sector collaboration, advanced industries, innovation, medical technology, artificial intelligence, waste management, and education.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed a proposal to organise a Qatari-Finnish Business Forum in Qatar.
Sheikh Khalifa commended "the distinguished relations between Qatar and Finland,” reaffirming Qatar's commitment to providing an attractive investment environment and promising opportunities for Finnish companies and investors that advances mutual interests and supports the continued growth of bilateral trade and investment.
