Women leaders and mothers share real-life journeys at ‘She Speaks: Tell All’
More than 30 mothers and women from diverse backgrounds gathered for "She Speaks: Tell All”, a Mother’s Month celebration presented by Doha Women Forum and Golden CMC Events & Management, on May 30 at the Living Room, Park Hyatt Doha.
Created as a community-driven initiative dedicated to empowering and supporting women, the event provided a welcoming platform for honest conversations about motherhood, identity, leadership, family life, and personal growth.
The afternoon featured talks and interactive discussions led by inspiring women, each sharing personal stories and reflections on the realities of balancing motherhood with their professional and personal aspirations.
Opening the first session were Rhana Kurdi, founder and chief executive of Skydrops Sustainable Water Technologies; and Susanna Ingalls, co-founder and Chief Brand Officer of Urban Point.
Moderated by Renata Gabay, the discussion explored the challenges and rewards of leading successful businesses while raising a family.
The conversation highlighted an important message that resonated with many attendees: behind every leadership title and successful career is also a woman carrying one of life’s most meaningful responsibilities – being a mother.
The second session featured Joelle Zakhour, influencer and autism advocate, and Dr Afraa al-Noaimi, cultural strategist and entrepreneur.
Moderated by Azqa Haroon, the discussion focused on advocacy, influence, purpose, and the different ways women create meaningful impact in their communities.
The speakers reflected on balancing public roles with family responsibilities and shared their perspectives on what success truly means.
"Beyond professional achievements, the discussion emphasised the importance of nurturing relationships, uplifting others, and passing meaningful values to future generations,” said Conchita Ponce, founder of Doha Women Forum.
The final speaker session featured Mariam Ammar, style coach and makeover expert, who encouraged women to embrace confidence, self-expression, and personal identity throughout every stage of motherhood.
Her presentation was followed by a fun and engaging colour analysis activity that invited audience participation.
One memorable moment of the afternoon was a special performance by young singer Unica de Vera, who serenaded guests with the song Thanks To You.
As roses and gifts were distributed to attendees during the performance, many mothers were visibly moved, creating a touching conclusion to the programme.
Following the event, guests continued networking and building new connections over light refreshments.
