His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani attended the final races of the annual Purebred Arabian Camel Racing Festival for HH the Amir’s Sword (2025-2026 season) Thursday at Al Shahaniya Camel Racetrack.
HH the Amir presented gold trophies to the winners of the four main races for Al Hail and Al Zamoul competitions (open rounds) for camels owned by Their Excellencies the Sheikhs.
"Dawlah", owned by Al Riyasah, won the Golden Sword in the Open Hail race, while "Al Qaheediya" from Al Shahaniya camels secured the Golden Shalfa in the Omani Al Hail race.
In the Al Zamoul races, "Nehab", owned by Al Riyasah and "Lusail," owned by Umm Al Zubar camels claimed the two Golden Khanjars in the Open and Omani categories.
HH the Amir also awarded the Silver Sword to Nasser Abdullah Ahmed Al Misnad, after his camel "Nathriya" won the Open Hail race for tribal camels on Wednesday.
The closing day was attended by a number of senior officials, heads of camel racing federations from several countries, and large crowds of spectators.
