His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met Monday at the Amiri Diwan with Jordanian Crown Prince Al- Hussein bin Abdullah II. At the outset of the meeting, HH the Amir welcomed the crown prince, affirming the depth of the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries.
The crown prince conveyed to HH the Amir the greetings of King Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein along with his wishes of continued good health and happiness to His Highness, and further progress and prosperity to the Qatari people.
Crown Prince Al-Hussein underscored the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable de-escalation that would restore stability in the region.
He also expressed Jordan's full support for, and solidarity with Qatar and other countries in the region in safeguarding their security and sovereignty, reiterating his country's condemnation of the attacks targeting Qatar. In turn, HH the Amir entrusted the crown prince to convey his greetings to the Jordanian king, wishing him continued good health and well-being, and the brotherly people of Jordan continued growth and prosperity.
HH the Amir also expressed Qatar's appreciation for Jordan's supportive stance, emphasising the importance of continued coordination and consultation on regional developments in a manner that contributes to de-escalation and strengthens the foundations of security and stability in the region.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the strong fraternal ties between the two countries and discussed ways to further enhance and develop them. They also exchanged views on key regional and international developments.
The crown prince departed Doha following a working visit to the country. He was seen off upon departure at Doha International Airport by His Excellency Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, and Jordanian ambassador Zaid Mufleh al-Lozi. Earlier upon his arrival the crown prince was welcomed by both the interior minister and the ambassador.
