Supreme Judicial Council online auctions generate more than QR127.5mn
The Evictions and Judicial (SJC) Auctions Department at the Supreme Judicial Council conducted several auctions on April 5, with proceeds totalling QR127,516,821, which were allocated to settle 1,247 related cases.
The online auctions received a total of 3,395 bids.
The auctions included a real estate auction, where 28 units were offered for bidding, and only 12 were sold at a total of QR124,707,221 for the benefit of six related cases. The vehicle auction offered 47 vehicles for bidding with 33 of them sold out at a total price of QR721,900 and used to settle 416 related cases, while the equipment auction offered 46 pieces of equipment for bidding, with 44 of them sold out at a total price of QR1,974,950 and used to settle 787 related cases.
The classical cars auction offered 10 vehicles and only five of them were sold out for the benefit of 38 at a total price of QR115,750 related cases. All such auctions are conducted through the Court Mzadat application (available on iOS and Android), which allows remote bidding and real-time tracking, with transparency ensured by a tightly secured transactional process. Bidders are required to submit a refundable deposit, with the amount determined by the item being auctioned. The process is part of the SJC to enhance judicial transaction procedures and help settle related cases more swiftly.
