A fuel tank at the Port of Duqm in the Sultanate of Oman was struck by drones on Tuesday, with no casualties reported.
The Oman News Agency (ONA), citing a security source, reported that a fuel tank was struck when multiple drones targeted fuel storage facilities at the Port of Duqm. The source added that the damage was promptly contained and that no injuries were reported.
The Sultanate of Oman condemned the attack and affirmed that the competent authorities are taking all necessary measures to address the incident.
On Monday, Omani authorities announced that an oil tanker was attacked by a drone boat approximately 52 nautical miles off the coast of Muscat, resulting in the death of one crew member.
The Port of Duqm had also been targeted by two drones a day earlier, while four people were injured in a separate incident when an oil tanker was struck north of Khasab Port in Musandam Governorate in northern Oman.
