HH the Amir hopes Web Summit Qatar 2026 will boost regional knowledge economy

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani expressed hope that Web Summit Qatar 2026 will help stimulate the exchange of expertise and boost the knowledge-based economy in the region.

In a post on his official account on X, HH the Amir said that during his visit today to the Web Summit Qatar 2026, he was briefed on the advanced initiatives that this leading technological platform in the region is hosting, which will open new paths for innovation, partnerships and entrepreneurship in the digital field, hoping that the summit will contribute to stimulating the exchange of experiences and supporting the knowledge economy in the region.

Amiri Guard Commander meets UK Defence Attache

HE Amiri Guard Commander Major General Staff Mohammed bin Sultan Al Suwaidi met on Sunday at Barzan Camp with UK Defence Attache to Qatar Colonel (Navy) Charlie Fuller. During the meeting, they discussed military cooperation between the two sides and ways to enhance and develop them. Senior officers in the Amiri Guard attended the meeting.
