Driving without a license: Up to QR50,000 fine and 3 years’ imprisonment - Ministry of Interior

Issued by the Ministry of Interior, driving without a valid license is considered one of the most serious traffic violations, as it poses a direct threat to road safety and the lives of all road users. Such violations cannot be settled or reconciled under the law.
According to Article (94) of the Traffic Law, anyone found driving without a license faces imprisonment for a period ranging from one month to three years, and/or a fine of no less than QR10,000 and not exceeding QR50,000.
The Ministry of Interior stresses the importance of strict compliance with traffic laws to ensure road safety and protect lives, reaffirming that responsible driving is not only a legal obligation but a shared responsibility toward the community.
