MoPH takes legal action against unlicensed cosmetic medical practices in beauty salon
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced the apprehension of five unlicensed individuals for practising specialised cosmetic medical activities inside a beauty salon, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
The Ministry stated that all necessary legal measures are being taken against both the violating practitioners and the establishment, in accordance with the laws and regulations governing the practice of health professions in the State.
This action forms part of the MoPH’s intensified regulatory efforts aimed at ensuring full compliance with professional and regulatory standards across the health sector, and safeguarding public health and safety.
The Ministry of Public Health urged members of the public to obtain healthcare services only from licensed health facilities and from practitioners holding valid licences issued by the MoPH, stressing the importance of this measure in ensuring access to safe and reliable health services.
The Ministry also clarified that the eligibility and licence status of any healthcare practitioner working in the State can be verified through the electronic "Search for Registered Healthcare Practitioner” service available on the Ministry’s official website.
