City University Qatar (CUQ) has signed a strategic agreement with Education Above All Foundation (EAA), aimed supporting the Qatar Scholarship Programme.
Led by EAA Foundation’s Al-Fakhoora programme, the initiative provides higher education opportunities to talented students from underprivileged backgrounds.
This milestone reflects CUQ’s growing commitment to social impact through partnerships that uplift youth and expand access to inclusive, high-quality education.
"It is a profound honour to sign this agreement with the EAA, as it reflects the State of Qatar’s steadfast commitment to providing inclusive, world-class education for all segments of society. We take immense pride in the role that CUQ is playing in advancing this national mission, one that empowers future generations and strengthens the foundations of knowledge, equity, and opportunity across our beloved nation,” Nasser al-Naimi, Board Member of Artan Consulting and Educational Services (ACES), said in a press statement.
EAA is globally recognised for its work in expanding educational access for marginalised communities. Through programmes like Al-Fakhoora, the foundation has empowered thousands of students across the globe with tools to build brighter futures.
"We are pleased to contribute to such a meaningful initiative and look forward to deepening our collaboration with EAA,” CUQ president Prof Faris Gorashi said.
EAA Foundation COO Ali Turki al-Sobai reaffirmed the foundation’s dedication to enabling youth through education, saying: "This partnership marks another important step in expanding access to higher education for students from marginalised communities. Through the Qatar Scholarship Programme, we are investing in young people whose talent and determination will contribute to stronger, more resilient societies”.
The signing ceremony was held at CUQ’s Lusail campus and included a campus tour, strategic presentation, formal contract signing, and a commemorative photo session attended by senior leadership from both institutions.
