MES Indian School held the ambassador launch ceremony of the initiative 'My Well-being is a Trust.'Conducted under the broader national programme, 'My Values Define My Identity', the ceremony aimed at instilling and promoting values of empathy, leadership, and responsibility among students.Usman Mayyeri, head of the Department of Arabic, welcomed the gathering. Principal Dr Hameeda Kadar in her inaugural address congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors and commended the dedication of teachers in nurturing values among students.The school's moral education and Islamic affairs director Shaheed Alungath was the chief guest. Along with the principal, he conferred badges to 328 student ambassadors, symbolising their responsibility as custodians of well-being within the school community. Special badges were also awarded to the teachers-in-charge, recognising their mentoring role and unwavering support in guiding the student ambassadors.A video presentation showcasing highlights from the previous year’s activities under the initiative offered insights into the programme’s impact and growth. Junior section students presented a skit on the theme of bullying, underscoring the importance of compassion and mutual respect.Davidson, a teacher from the Boys’ section, elaborated on the roles, expectations, and ethical responsibilities entrusted to the newly appointed ambassadors. The ceremony culminated in a pledge, led by Abhishek Vijay. All ambassadors vowed to uphold the principles of respect, responsibility, and compassion in their daily conduct.Head prefect Nimisha Liz Abraham proposed a vote of thanks. Among those present at the event included school directors, governing board members, key functionaries, teachers and students.
