Qatar Charity (QC) has begun distributing 1,000 hot meals daily to displaced people returning from southern Gaza to Gaza City and the northern Gaza, since mid-October.Additionally, 315 meals are being provided daily to patients with special needs receiving treatment at the Hamad Hospital for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics in the Gaza Strip. The initiative is supported by donors in Qatar. These efforts are part of QC’s humanitarian campaign 'Labbeh Gaza: Commitment and Solidarity', to alleviate the suffering of displaced residents in Gaza. The relief efforts began in August and are expected to continue by the end of the year, targeting critical sectors such as food, clean water, and education. The total aid planned for distribution includes approximately 24,700 food parcels, 2.4mn litres of clean drinking water, 4,500 school bags, and the rehabilitation of 60 classrooms. These efforts are expected to benefit hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals across the Gaza Strip. In implementation of the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, QC participated in the launch of a land bridge of humanitarian aid last week in response to the urgent needs in the Gaza Strip and to be delivered through Jordan and Egypt. The humanitarian convoy includes 87,754 shelter tents provided by the Qatar Fund for Development, QC, and the Qatar Red Crescent Society, benefiting about 436,170 individuals from affected families. This effort comes at a critical time, as more than 288,000 families in Gaza have lost their homes as a result of the war.QC continues to urge donors to support its ongoing 'Labbeh Gaza' campaign.
