Qatar University and Qatar Foundation sign MoU on academic, scientific, and professional cooperation
Qatar University (QU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) to enhance mutual cooperation and exchange of expertise in the fields of academic, scientific, and professional education and training. The MoU was signed by Vice President for Academic Affairs at QU Dr. Ibrahim Al Kaabi, and President of Pre-University Education at QF Abeer Al Khalifa, in the presence of several officials from both institutions.The MoU aims to strengthen collaboration between the two parties through the exchange of expertise related to the pre-university education sector, as well as joint cooperation in organizing seminars, conferences, events, workshops, and various programs. It also includes providing practical and field training opportunities for QU students at QF, in addition to offering five annual scholarships for students enrolled in education-related programs at QU, provided they meet the criteria agreed upon by both parties.Furthermore, the MoU outlines the establishment of a researcher database and cooperation with researchers to support educational development, as well as collaboration in other areas of shared interest between the two institutions.In his remarks, Dr. Ibrahim Al Kaabi stated, "Signing this MoU represents an important step in strengthening academic, research, and professional collaboration between the two institutions. Exchanging expertise in the field of education, particularly pre-university education, is a key pillar in supporting the national educational development process and contributes to preparing a generation capable of keeping pace with scientific and knowledge advancements."He emphasized that this partnership reflects the university's commitment to providing high-quality field training opportunities that enable students to acquire practical skills that enhance their readiness for the labor market. For her part, QF President of Pre-University Education Abeer Al Khalifa, said, "This agreement comes as part of QF's commitment to strengthening the national education ecosystem by building effective partnerships with universities and academic institutions across the country, foremost among them QU, to ensure alignment between the outcomes of pre-university and higher education. "Al Khalifa added, "This partnership also supports the development of practical and field training programs, empowers students to gain applied experience, and enhances scientific research in the fields of education, contributing to the preparation of qualified talent capable of supporting the nation's sustainable development. QF is also committed to enabling outstanding students to continue their academic journeys and contribute in the future to the development of the education sector and the realization of Qatar National Vision 2030."
