In response to the devastating earthquake that struck southeastern Afghanistan during the end of August, Qatar Charity (QC), with the support of donors in Qatar, has carried out two emergency relief interventions.The interventions included the distribution of family tents, food packages, and kitchen kits in Kunar province, helping meet urgent shelter and nutrition needs.QC distributed 393 high-quality family tents designed to withstand weather conditions, fire, and humidity, offering safe shelter to families who lost their homes.As part of its 'Feeding is Life' campaign, QC also delivered 260 food packages and 260 kitchen kits. Each package contained essential food items sufficient for a family for one month.Contributions can be made through QC’s website (https://www.qcharity.org/en/qa), mobile app (qch.qa/appen), branches, and collection points in the commercial complexes, in addition to calling 44920000.According to official reports, the death toll has risen to 2,205, while the number of injured has exceeded 3,700, following the 6.0-magnitude earthquake. The disaster has caused extensive damage to thousands of homes, particularly in Kuner province and surrounding areas.
