HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani received a number of phone calls yesterday from Gulf and Arab prime ministers, deputy prime ministers and foreign ministers. They included:Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah al-Saud, Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood al-Busaidi, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Dr Badr Abdelatty, Jordan's Prime Minister Dr Jafar Hassan, Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr Ayman al-Safadi, Lebanese Prime Minister Dr Nawaf Salam, Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Youssef Rajji and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot.During the call, they all expressed solidarity with Qatar and their countries' strong condemnation of the blatant Israeli attack that targeted the residential headquarters of a number of Hamas leaders in Doha. They considered the attack a criminal act and a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, and a threat to the security of Qatar and the countries of the region. They also stressed that their countries stand with Qatar in the measures it may take to protect its security and preserve its sovereignty.Foreign Minister Barrot stressed France's solidarity with Qatar, condemning the Israeli attack, describing it as unacceptable regardless of its motive. In turn, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that Qatar will take all necessary measures to protect its security and preserve its sovereignty against the blatant Israeli attack.
