In line with its strategy to transform stations into vibrant social destinations, Qatar Rail looks forward to continuing to build strong partnerships that will sustain the success of future editions.Additionally, with the start of the new academic year, Qatar Rail has announced the resumption of the Doha Metro school visits program. This initiative is part of its corporate social responsibility strategy and aims to familiarize students with the metro network, its facilities, and how it operates, while also highlighting how the metro contributes to sustainability and helps connect passengers to Doha's key destinations. As part of this year's school visits program, Qatari engineers from Qatar Rail will accompany students on their tours, providing detailed explanations about their roles, professional pathways, and diverse specializations within the railway sector, with the aim of encouraging students to consider pursuing these fields in the future.Students will also be introduced to the Metro's travel cards, train carriage categories, and key safety guidelines followed both in stations and onboard trains. They will further learn about first and last mile services such as metrolink, metroexpress, and "Park & Ride" facilities.During their tours, students will visit Msheireb Station, the Doha Metro's main interchange station connecting all three lines, where they will explore the control and command room. There, they will gain insights into how the station monitors passenger flows to ensure smooth operations and customer safety, as well as its role in providing rapid response in emergency situations. The school visits program plays a key role in promoting public transport cultures among students, encouraging them to adopt the metro as part of their daily commute while contributing to environmental preservation efforts.Schools wishing to participate in the program can coordinate directly with Qatar Rail's Communication and Public Relations Department.
