The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, has achieved a new accomplishment by winning three prestigious international medals at the World Stamp Exhibition (Bangkok 2025). The exhibition, held under the umbrella of the International Philatelic Federation (FIP) from August 8 to 12, 2025, featured philatelists from 65 countries around the world.The centre won the three medals after a careful evaluation by a panel of international judges, and achieved the following honorable results: History of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Nejd and Hejaz, 1925-1926 (5 frames), awarded a large gold medal (L.V). Postal History of Qatar (5 frames), awarded a gold medal (V). Postal History of Oman (5 frames), awarded a gold medal (V).The centre continues its efforts to support and develop the hobby of stamp and numismatic collecting, and is currently preparing to participate in the upcoming World Stamp Exhibition in South Korea next September. Through these participations, the centre aims to highlight the cultural and historical heritage of Qatar and the region, and enhance the international standing of Qatari collectors.It is worth noting that the Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center is an active member of both the World Philatelic Federation (FIP) and the Asian Philatelic Federation (FIAP).
