Gaza records new death due to famine, toll rises to 162, including 92 children
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported today the death of a boy due to malnutrition and worsening famine, bringing the number of deaths due to hunger to 162 cases, including 92 children.
According to WFP estimates, a quarter of Palestinians in Gaza face famine-like conditions, with 100 000 children and women suffering from acute malnutrition.
Gaza is experiencing the worst humanitarian crisis in its history, as the severe famine overlaps with the comprehensive aggression launched by the Israeli entity, since October 7, 2023.
Since March 2025, the Israeli occupation has closed all crossings with the Gaza Strip, and prevents the entry of most food and medical aid, causing a famine inside the Gaza Strip.
