Training conducted for border staff on prevention of chemical hazards

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC)’s Department of Chemicals and Hazardous Waste has organised a training programme on "Prevention of Chemical Hazards”, with the participation of 100 employees working in the field of handling hazardous materials at the Abu Samra border crossing.
The programme aimed to enhance their awareness of the risks associated with these materials and the methods of prevention.
It has equipped the participating employees with the essential information on how to handle hazardous chemicals, ways to prevent their risks, and an introduction to preventative measures and necessary requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
