GCC Secretary-General Jassem Mohammed Al Budaiwi discussed with European Commissioner for Mediterranean Affairs (North Africa and the Middle East) Dubravka Suica the latest developments in negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement between the two sides, in addition to discussing a proposal to hold a joint GCC-EU conference focused on energy security, with the participation of representatives from both the public and private sectors.During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the Dubrovnik Forum in Croatia, the two sides also reviewed the paths of cooperation between the GCC and the European Union.The two parties exchanged views on current regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between the GCC and the EU, and intensifying joint efforts to support security, stability, and development in the region and the world.
