The State of Qatar participated in the "Vision Golfe" Forum held currently in Paris, with the attendance of GCC and French ministers, senior officials, and decision-makers. The forum also brought together a distinguished group of public and private sector representatives, as well as experts in economics, trade, and infrastructure development.The State of Qatar's delegation to the forum was headed by HE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Dr. Ahmad bin Mohammed Al Sayed.The State of Qatar's participation in the forum reflects its commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership with the French Republic and underscores the importance of constructive economic dialogue and the exchange of views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.In his speech during the forum, HE the Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs emphasized that the event represents a vital platform to enhance GCC-French relations and broaden horizons for economic and trade cooperation, particularly in the fields of infrastructure, supply chains, global trade, and sustainable economy.HE noted that the State of Qatar stands out as an active strategic partner in the GCC-French cooperation framework, backed by strong bilateral relations built on mutual respect and a shared desire to advance development and prosperity.HE Dr. Al Sayed highlighted the tangible growth in economic relations between Qatar and France, pointing out that the average bilateral trade volume reached QR 11 billion over the past five years. Additionally, 574 French companies are currently operating across various sectors in the State, reflecting the strength and continuity of this economic partnership, he added.HE also highlighted key indicators of the State of Qatar's economic performance, which reflect global investor confidence in the country's investment environment. He said that Qatar continues to implement its national strategies aimed at economic diversification and strengthening partnerships with the private sector.HE invited French companies and investors to explore the promising opportunities available in the State of Qatar, particularly in the free zones, Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), and Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), and other economic platforms, given the incentives and competitive advantages they offer, emphasising the State's commitment to enhancing investment infrastructure and supporting the establishment of qualitative and sustainable partnerships that serve the interests of both countries.HE concluded his speech by reaffirming the State of Qatar's pivotal role in promoting regional security and stability through its active diplomacy, regional and international partnerships, and its ongoing efforts to support pressing issuesDuring the forum, HE the Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs met with several French officials, including HE Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and French Nationals Abroad at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs Laurent Saint-Martin.
