The Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2026) announced it has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Qatar Media Corporation (QMC), making it the "National Media Sponsor" for the ninth edition of the event, which will be held under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and organised and hosted by the Qatar Armed Forces from January 19 to 22 at the Qatar National Convention Centre.The agreement was signed by Chairman of the Organising Committee of DIMDEX, Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi Saleh Al Ansari, and Director of Qatar TV, Ali Saleh Al Sada, in the presence of HE Commander of the Qatari Amiri Naval Forces, Major General (Sea) Abdullah bin Hassan Al Sulaiti.This partnership aims to leverage QMC's extensive media network to enhance the coverage of the exhibition and highlight key innovations and strategic discussions at both local and regional levels.The upcoming edition is expected to attract a distinguished group of defense ministers, chiefs of staff, naval commanders, senior government officials, and defense industry executives from around the world.The renewed partnership with QMC underscores the strategic importance of media cooperation in showcasing DIMDEX's global stature and its national role. QMC's distinguished media coverage in previous editions contributed to highlighting the event's main themes and strengthening its position as a leading national platform for cooperation in the maritime security and defense sector.QMC will cover various important activities at the event, including the main exhibition showcasing the latest maritime security and defense technologies, the Middle East Naval Commanders Conference (MENC) which discusses pivotal issues in maritime security, official delegation visits, and visits by defense industry leaders from around the world, as well as the display of visiting warships at Hamad Port.In this context, Chairman of the DIMDEX Organizing Committee, Staff Brigadier (Sea) Abdulbaqi Saleh Al Ansari, expressed pleasure to continue working closely with the Qatar Media Corporation as the National Media Sponsor for DIMDEX 2026.He added that building on their strong relationship, this partnership ensures expanding the reach to a wider audience and deliver impactful messages to decision-makers and stakeholders worldwide.
