Broad inspection campaign on winter camping sites across the country

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change’s Department of Land Protection in co-operation with the Environmental Unit of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) has carried out an extensive inspection campaign covering all winter camping areas across the country. The campaign coincided with the conclusion of the 2024–2025 winter camping season.The campaign aimed to notify winter camp owners of the end of the season and urge them to begin dismantling their camps in order to protect the environment and ensure the cleanliness and safety of the camping sites.The ministry has called on all campers to remove their camps as soon as possible, noting that a specialised team has been assigned to inspect and follow up on the removal process. The ministry further stressed the importance of leaving camping sites clean, collecting waste, and disposing of it in designated areas only.
