Israeli shelling across multiple areas in Gaza kills six Palestinians, wounds others

Six Palestinians were killed and others were injured Monday in an Israeli mortar attack and airstrikes that targeted numerous areas in the Gaza Strip.Medical sources reported that three Palestinians were martyred in an Israeli bombardment that targeted Wadi Al Ara'is in the Al Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City, while one Palestinian was also killed, and several others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on al-Nasr Street, west of Gaza City.In addition, casualties were reported in another Israeli shelling that targeted a gathering near the General Intelligence Junction in the northern part of the city.In the northern Gaza Strip, two Palestinians were killed and several others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on the Jabalia Al Balad area.Medical sources reported that two children were injured in an Israeli air raid that targeted a home in the Al Manara neighborhood, east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. Additional injuries were also reported following a drone strike by Israeli forces on a group of Palestinians in the Qizan Al Najjar area, south of the city.The Palestinian Ministry of Health had announced that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has climbed to 50,752, mostly women and children, since the onset of the Israeli aggression on Oct. 7, 2023.On March 18, Israeli occupation forces resumed their onslaught on the Gaza Strip, following a two-month respite under a ceasefire deal that came into effect on Jan. 19. However, Israel violated the ceasefire terms over the course of two months, continuing its bombardment of multiple sites in the Gaza Strip, resulting in casualties.Israel also refused to implement the humanitarian protocol and further intensified its tight siege on the Strip, which is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
