HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting held on Wednesday morning at the Amiri Diwan. At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet welcomed the outcomes of the Seventh Strategic Dialogue between the State of Qatar and the United States of America, co-chaired by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and HE Secretary of State of the United States of America Marco Rubio, in Washington on Dec. 17, 2025, with the participation of senior Qatari and American officials. The Cabinet affirmed that the joint statement issued at the conclusion of the dialogue reflected the depth and strength of the relations between the two countries, the solidity of their partnership in various fields, and their shared will to develop and expand their fruitful and constructive cooperation for the benefit of their peoples, and in a way that contributes to maintaining security, peace and stability in the region and around the globe. The Cabinet commended the outcomes of the Doha Declaration 2025, issued at the end of the Eleventh Session of the Conference of the States Parties (COSP11) to the United Nations Convention against Corruption, which was hosted by Qatar for five days. The session's discussions focused on the opportunities for using artificial intelligence systems in preventing and combating corruption. The clear message that was conveyed through this session suggested that building the integrity of the future requires harnessing technology responsibly and strengthening international cooperation to confront the growing challenges associated with corruption and transnational financial crimes. Afterwards, the Cabinet considered the topics on its agenda, as it approved a draft law on animal health. Prepared by the Ministry of Municipality, this draft law replaces Law No. 1 of 1985 on animal health, as part of updating the law to keep pace with changes in this field. The Cabinet also approved a draft cabinet decision to establish the Medical Committee for the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) and define its responsibilities. Prepared by Lekhwiya, the draft decision aims to deal with all cases requiring medical attention, starting from the medical examination stage to recruitment, as well as injury cases in need of rapid evaluation according to the requirements of the job nature assigned to the injured force member, and other cases. The Cabinet also approved a draft decision of the President of Civil Service and Government Development Bureau regarding training courses and training alternatives scheduled for employees who are candidates for promotion. The Cabinet decided to approve a draft MoU on joint cooperation in the areas of training, capacity building and exchange of experiences for customs officials between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of Turkmenistan. The Cabinet concluded its meeting by reviewing two reports and taking the appropriate measures in their regard. The documents included a report on the outcomes of the visit of HE Minister of Labor to the Kingdom of Sweden (October 2025), and a report on the outcomes of participation in the sixth session of the Qatar-Pakistan Joint Ministerial Commission for Economic, Trade, and Technical Cooperation, in Islamabad (October 2025)
