General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority announces disbursement of extended service bonus to eligible retirees

The General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA) announced the start of disbursing the extended service bonus to eligible retirees, starting from Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, as the financial dues were deposited directly into their bank accounts, in accordance with the provisions of the Social Insurance Law.The Authority confirmed that this bonus comes within its commitment to appreciating the efforts of retirees and honoring their long years of giving, and its keenness to enhance their financial stability, in line with the State's vision of providing sustainable retirement benefits that guarantee a decent life for retirees.In this context, Director of Retirement Department at GRSIA Khalifa Issa Al Khelaifi said that the extended service bonus is not just a financial entitlement, but rather a message of appreciation and loyalty to retirees who served the country, adding that the authority is keen to disburse the bonus with ease and convenience. He reaffirmed GRSIA's commitment to continue developing services to ensure achieving the highest levels of support and stability for retirees.Al Khelaifi called on all retirees to ensure that their personal data is updated through service and electronic channels, to ensure that they receive services in the best possible way, adding that the relevant support teams are ready to answer their inquiries about the bonus and the Social Insurance Law.The extended service bonus is granted to eligible retirees who have completed over 30 years of service, with a maximum of 10 additional years.The bonus is calculated based on the pension calculation salary, with one full salary for each of the first five years (or part thereof), and two full salaries for each of the next five years (or part thereof). The payment is made directly without the need for retirees to submit any additional applications.
