The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has urged Qatar residents and citizens to download the new Metrash app in order to continue availing its services. MoI, in an X post, noted that the existing Metrash app (Metrash 2) will be discontinued on March 1.MoI recently developed a new Metrash App according to the latest technologies, incorporating new features for a user friendly experience. The key newly added features covered services of profile, authorisation and notifications, in a bid to further streamline users' access to information and procedures.Also among the new features are address management for document delivery purposes, locations of different service centres and passport scanning for visa issuance. New icons have been created to issue, reprint and share certificates and to easily access all security services. There are also services specific to GCC nationals including renewing Qatar IDs and replacing lost or damaged ones.The application, available on the App Store and Google Play, offers more than 440 services, including 100 new services. These services allow users to complete their official procedures, whether they are inside or outside the country, around the clock, through a channel with high reliability and a distinguished degree of digital security.The new features include a new visual identity and modern interactive interface design taking into account quick access to services and re-engineering services and procedures merging some services, shortening them and reducing their steps. New services have been added including profile, authorisation, inquiry, security services, appointment booking services and certificates.Modern payment methods such as Apple Pay too were added. The updated version is easy to use with artificial intelligence technology and modern digital technologies. Also, it ensures the security and protection of users' personal and sensitive data.
