Qatar University (QU) organised a range of sporting activities in celebration of Qatar National Sport Day at the Sports and Events Complex, with a large turnout of students, faculty members, and staff, along with widespread participation from the community.The activities began with a general warm-up session, including physical exercises, followed by a biometric assessment and health awareness segment, allowing participants to learn about their health indicators and the importance of maintaining physical fitness.The programme also featured fitness activities in the senior zone and recreational games area, where participants engaged in various exercises designed to promote physical activity. Dedicated sports activities for children continued until the end of the event.The event concluded with an open sports session, allowing participants to engage in various activities and enjoy the sports facilities in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and positive interaction.QU president Dr Omar al-Ansari, said: "On Qatar’s National Sports Day, we reaffirm our commitment at QU to promoting health and fitness as a way of life. Sports are not just an activity but a culture that unites us, revitalises us, and strengthens our team spirit.”
