PM discusses Gaza ceasefire deal, Syria developments in Davos meetings

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani held on Wednesday a number of meetings on the sidelines of World Economic Forum 2025 meetings in Davos, Switzerland.HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs met with Egyptian Prime Minister Dr Mostafa Madbouly and discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen and develop them as well as means of ensuring the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of detainees and prisoners, in addition to discussing the latest developments in Syria.During the meeting, HE Sheikh Mohammed reiterated continued co-ordination between the two countries within the framework of joint mediation, in a manner that ensures the parties implement the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of detainees and prisoners.HE the Prime Minister also met with Iranian Vice-President for Strategic Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif. They discussed co-operation relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them, the developments in the region, especially in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, in addition to a number of topics of common interest.The Iranian vice-president voiced his appreciation for Qatar's role and its efforts that contributed to reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and exchanging the prisoners and detainees.HE the Prime Minister's and meeting with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot discussed co-operation ties between the two countries and ways to bolster them, as well as a range of topics of mutual interest.HE Sheikh Mohammed and Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide discussed during their meeting cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them.
