The President of Lebanon General Joseph Aoun met on Wednesday with His Excellency Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Lebanon Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.At the outset of the meeting, HE the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the President of Lebanon, wishing His Excellency good health and happiness and the Lebanese people continued progress and prosperity.For his part, the President of Lebanon entrusted HE the Ambassador to convey his greetings to HH the Amir, wishing His Highness good health and happiness, and the Qatari people further development and prosperity.The meeting discussed the current situation in Lebanon and the region, with an emphasis on continuing support for Lebanon's stability and its institutions under these delicate circumstances.During the meeting, the President of the Republic of Lebanon praised the active role of the State of Qatar and its constant support for the Lebanese people, affirming the depth of bilateral relations.
