Hour and Hour programme has taken part in an event organised by the Women’s Police Training Institute and the Barzan Girls Forum on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.The programme presented a number of activities tailored for the women attending the event, including an interactive competition and the distribution of gifts to participants.At the conclusion of the event, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud al-Thani, vice-president of the Barzan Youth Centre, and the director of the Women’s Police Institute Lt Colonel Kholoud Anbar al-Nuaimi honoured the Hour and Hour programme represented by its CEO, Tamani al-Yafei, in recognition of their participation and the efforts made during the event.Al-Yafei stressed the personal significance of such recognition, especially as it was linked to an event dedicated to women’s issues.She thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the event, with a special mention to the Barzan Youth Centre and the Women’s Police Institute.Al-Yafei affirmed that Hour and Hour seeks to contribute to the Third National Development Strategy, which aims to build a cohesive, value-driven society and empower women.The programme also aims to highlight societal values rooted in the teachings of Islam, which honours women as daughters, wives, and mothers and elevates their status.
