Birla Public School hosted the Investiture Ceremony to swear in its student leaders for the 2024–25 academic year.The 34-member prefectorial board and student council members took their oaths to serve their peers and school community.Chairman Gope Shahani, director Lukose K Chacko, management representatives Chindhu Antony, Neville Lukose, and Siddharth Shahani, principal Dr Anand R Nair, non-academic head Vinod Kumar, and vice principals Radhika Rele and Edna Fernandez were present.The principal emphasised the importance of leadership, teamwork, and commitment to the values upheld by the school.The chairman exhorted the student leaders to lead by example, upholding integrity and dedication. The director reminded the newly elected student body of the responsibilities of leaders.Riaan Jigar Shah and Ivana Geoji Thomos of grade XII were sworn in as the head boy and head girl. Mohamed Saheel and Veena Vishnu of grade XII were appointed as the vice head boy and vice head girl.Presidents, vice presidents, speakers and secretaries of the Student Council, cultural secretaries, campus correspondents, sports captains, prefects, martinets, assistant prefects, student council members, house masters and mistresses, house captains, and vice captains were also inducted into their offices.The inductees were administered the oath and presented with badges and sashes as symbols of their roles and responsibilities.During the ceremony, the Aditya Birla Memorial Award and Sarala Birla Memorial Award were conferred on the toppers of grade XI 2023-24 batch. The first two toppers of Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams received the awards which consist of a certificate and cash prize, for the outstanding academic performance in the academic year 2023–24.
