Kahramaa, PHCC sign MoU to establish clinic

The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has signed a memorandum of co-operation with the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) to establish a clinic in the Kahramaa building complex in Abu Hamour.The agreement was signed by Kahramaa’s director of Shared Services Affairs Dr Abdullah Mohsen al-Wahidi and Dr Samya Ahmad al-Abdulla, senior consultant of family medicine and executive director of operations at the PHCC.The clinic, according to a Kahramaa statement, aims to create a safe and healthy work environment for employees.The facility also has a role in monitoring the health of employees with risky jobs and reducing psychological and physical stress on the employee by providing healthcare at the workplace.It also aims to strengthen the relationship between the employee and the Health, Safety and Environment Department.The clinic provides services to employees such as health services for those travelling on business trips while administering vaccinations and checking medical fitness.Periodic examinations of employees working under pressure or in jobs with a degree of risk are carried out by the clinic.The establishment of the Kahramaa Medical Clinic comes in compliance with the legal requirements to provide the employees with the treatment and preventive services they need for diseases related to the work environment and to comply with the provisions of Labour Law Article 104, the statement added.
